Disney Live-Action: Coming Soon!

In case you hadn't heard, the first trailer for Beauty and the Beast came out earlier this week - and it's starring Emma Watson!!

This isn't the first live-action film we've waited for (thinking Lily James as Cinderella) and it's definitely not the last! There are WAY more in the pipeline and we're super excited about Every. Single. One...

Beauty and the Beast

Even aside from the fact that Emma Watson has is playing Belle the cast line-up is incredible! With Sir Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts (a personal fave), who wouldn't want to be their guest!?

The live-action film is a prequel to the Disney tale we all know and love - this time it's all about the genie! I'm not sure it'll be quite the same without Robin Williams but I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Okay so we haven't got much info on this one other than it's happening... and it's rumoured that Tim Burton may be directing. I'm not sure whether to be excited or slightly worried about what kind of crazy set the elephant is joining?

I guess she's pretty used to having her own film by now, but this time Tinkerbell is flying into the real world in the form of Reese Witherspoon. Apparently written by Victoria Strouse (who also wrote Finding Dory), we're just hoping "Tink" will be bringing all the sass!

He's finally becoming a real boy! It's only in early  development but "About a Boy" writer Peter Hedges is set for the script and Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Gepetto as well as directing along side his wife - cayuuute!

In march, the Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the 'not your typical Disney princess' will be coming to life. We don't know who will be playing Mulan but she's bound to be #fierce!

Winnie The Pooh

This remake is apparently going to focus on a more grown up Christopher Robin... we just hope Pooh and friends still make an appearance!

The Little Mermaid

That's right - our fave red headed mermaid is bringing it back to the big screen. Sophia Coppola has dropped out as the writer but apparently the project is still going ahead (we hope - fingers crossed!)

Prince Charming

It's not yet confirmed whether this Cinderella's or Snow White's bae (who knew Charming was such a common name!?) ... but honestly I'm not sure it matters because this film is actually going to be about his brother who "struggled to compete due to his lack of charm" - comedy gold right there!

The Sword In The Stone

The latest to join this list at the end of last year is the tale of an orphan boy who becomes a king after pulling a sword from a stone. Guess who's script writing this one? Only Game of Thrones writer-producer Bryan Cogman!! Excited just doesn't even cover it.
