Sharmadean Reid - Owner/founder, WAH Nails
WAH nails went from a hipster hangout in East London, to one of the coolest beauty brands to come out of the UK. Now with pop up stores across the country and a range exclusive to Boots, founder Sharmandean Reid sure knows how to take our love of a Insta-worthy nail art snap to the next level. Sharmadean's vision is about empowering females, creating a brand built on women sharing ideas and coming together to make something special - her salons are a place where people can meet to get their nails done and talk business at the same time. Pandora Lennard and Lucy Greene - Joint founders, Anti-Agency
'Not your average casting agency', Anti-Agency was founded in 2013 by friends Pandora Lennard and Lucy Greene. Plugging a gap in the market for 'real' models (and by real, we mean cool AF guys and girls), Pandora and Lucy select people on their individual quirks and talent "who could have been models but decided not to." They're champions of unique style and inspire women to be proud of what they've got. We salute you!
Kate Unsworth - CEO, Vinaya
When you hear about wearable tech, what do you think of? Giant watches with screens the size of your wrist and glasses that make you look like you're at an amusement arcade? Yeah, us too. That was until we heard about Vinaya, one of the newer startups that actually makes tech you want to wear (plus, it only goes off for the important stuff so you spend less time checking your phone). While we might not be rushing to buy one of the pieces just yet (they do carry a pretty hefty price tag), we're totally inspired by the brand's CEO Kate Unsworth - a 27-year-old entrepeneur who is leading the way in 'mindful' tech and proves brains and beauty can come hand in hand.
Kelly Cutrone - PR 'maven'
Before Sophia Amoruso’s ‘Girl Boss’ there was Kelly Cutrone’s ‘If You Have To Cry, Go Outside’ giving women all over the world that kick up the ass to make them kick-ass. It went on to become a New York Times bestseller so those words are damn well wise. In between her stint on The Hills, founding People’s Revolution and being a mentor on America’s Next Top Model, Ms Cutrone has shown she’s a force to be reckoned with and dressed head-to-toe in black, that’s one alliance we can get on board with!
