Holiday Reads Checklist ✔

Whether you're due a seri amount of well deserved beach time, shacking up for a weekend away or even just sunning yourself up in the garden at home, you're gonna want to be armed with a great book!

If you're anything like me, coming home from holiday with a stack of unread books is as inevitable as sunburn. Top tip - travel lightly (at least on your way home), by choosing the SF tems top five reads. Oh, and don't forget to grab your sunnies, kick back and lose yourself...

In honour of National Book Lovers Day, here are a few of our favourites:

Before We Met - Lucie Whitehouse

"This book is about a relationship that seems perfect and then one day Hannah’s husband doesn't come home. A crazy background story unfolds; it’s seriously a page turner! It makes you question how well you know the people around you. A stand-out read for me recently."

Bossypants - Tina Fey

"The brain behind Mean Girls, Tina’s book is laugh-out-loud funny and will give you some inspo at the same time. She went from a socially awkward teen at school to one of the most successful writers in comedy. At 23 she was working at a community leisure centre, so it just goes to show that it’s never too late to go after what you want!"

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - J K Rowling

"Incase you haven't already heard - there's a new Harry Potter! I mean I haven’t finished the original ones yet but it’s BOUND to be great..."

Behind Closed Doors - B A Paris

I'm all about a gripping page turner and this does just that. I think I read this book in about 4 nights, as someone who isn't a huge bookworm this says everything! It's a psychological thriller based on the idea of how different people's perceptions can be from the outside, plus an EPIC case of revenge. Liked Gone Girl? You'll love this!

The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden is my all time fave, I loved it when I was younger and still love it now! As a child the story was sort of magical, re-reading it as an adult (am I really an adult lol) it seems to have a deeper meaning without losing it's original fairytale feel.

"When new beautiful thoughts began to push out the old hideous ones, life began to come back to [Colin], his blood ran healthily through his veins and strength poured into him like a flood."
