I'm A Taxi Addict...

It's no secret that I do indeed, Uber everywhere. Last year alone, I took 194 trips. Yep, really. Call me crazy (and maybe a lil' bit lazy.) But when I can get across town for £2.50 in a Mercedes E-Class why would I walk?!

Here are just some of the (many) reasons I'm addicted...

I get to be DJ...

If my driver has an AUX, they automatically get 5-stars. One driver had an iPad hooked up with YouTube on demand. It goes without saying how many stars he got. I also thoroughly enjoy them doing a double-take when I drop J Hus and they're expecting Little Mix.

The chats...

I've had many a deep and meaningful conversation with my drivers. Forget the weather, we've discussed everything from life goals to exes (albeit I've been been drunk for the latter.)

The rating game...

Who needs Tinder when you can put all of your efforts into getting that coveted 5-star rating. (I'm on 4.6 btw) must try harder.

The adventures...

One minute you're on the way home from a night out, the next you're diverting to McDonald's drive-thru. Who knows where you'll end up next? Maybe the train station to pick up 12 Krispy Kremes? (True story) And it's always nice to treat your driver to a cheeseburger, right?

The chase...

From the second you type in your location to those moments of suspense while you wait for your job to be picked up, it's a feeling like no other. Will they manage to find you in the matrix that is town or will you have to walk five minutes in the rain to be finally rescued by your knight in shining-Sköda?

So it will be no surprise to you that I've already spent £92 in two weeks on being chauffeured around. Do I regret it? Oh hell no.

But maybe I need to learn to drive and pursue a career in Uber-ing.
