New Year = New Style Resolutions

OK so I'm kind of already a little bit sick of hearing the resolutions fly around the office -

"I can't eat that i'm on a diet" and "no after work drinks for me I'm dry for Jan"

We get it people, the festive fun is well and truly over! The resolutions I absolutely can get get excited about involve adding fabulous  things to my wardrobe and embracing some new style rules.

And with a fresh season to conquer, here are my top 5 goodies to give new edge to your style game!

1. The White Stripes

It's never time to relegate the LBD, but, I would seriously recommend introducing some white to your essential dress collection. This ribbed shift dress gets top marks for pared down appeal and will work for you round the clock. Not convinced yet? The striped deep V nods to spring's must have nautical trend - ahoy there compliments !

2. The new flares

Get the good kind of January blues - a new pair of 'my ass looks peachy AF in these' jeans. If you dared to flare last season you'll be pleased to know the 70s classic is sticking around for spring but with a feisty twist - they come cropped and kicking! I love this mid blue pair, just add a classic Breton tee, biker jacket and your favourite flats. Ankle flashing has never felt so good... trust.

3. The tie front ANYTHING

In black, white and khaki - I'll be introducing this wear anywhere piece to my wardrobe in every shade. Tie fronts were big news on the season's catwalk and this one is perfect for adding a little (not a lot) of modesty to a plunge neckline. Wear it cropped trousers, a tailored jacket and polished heels for a grown up day vibe; to strip it down for play, just take of the jacket and add some killer earrings.

4. The Statement Knit

Want to make a knit hit this season? Of course you do! Moving in to spring it's all all about the standout sweater. Whether you go lace front, embellished or with sporty trims, it's all about picking a piece with punch. Even if the weather isn't there yet, bring some brightness to your off-duty 'drobe with this pop orange cable knit. This treat comes directly from boohoo Tall but there are plenty of head turners to choose from in our knitwear edit.

5. The Structured Bag

A structured bag can do no wrong whatever the season! I love this slick shoulder version because it's subtle studding and exposed zips give just the right injection of rock chick chic.
This plus jeans, a grey knit, sneakers and a beanie guarantee that effortless off-duty model vibe.
